Review from The Diapason, September, 1999

Celebration Psalm is a festival anthem that combines verses of Psalms 81 and 132. It was commissioned for the bicentennial of Rutgers Presbyterian Church in New York City and is appropriate for the dedication of church or temple of a clergy installation. It accomplishes with dispatch what many composers would take far longer than its two and a half minutes to say.

Dr. Sisler…has combined a vital rhythmic drive with comfortable part-writing within the vocal range of the average choir in an original harmonic style that is advanced enough for the musically sophisticated and yet can be appreciated by those who are not.
