Yesh Kochavim
VS-1006

The poet, Hanah Senesh, living in Palestine during World War II, joined a group of jewish volunteers who parachuted into Eastern Europe in an attempt to rescue jews from the hands of the nazis. Tragically she was discovered and executed. It is irony that this poem has become a centerpiece of the memorial section in many synagogue services. The composer was inspired by the mysterioso inherent in life, death, eternity and the universe.
